Adding yet another bluesy, country rock track to his ever-building discography, Lewis Cromby has dropped his second of the year after ‘California (Ride On)’. ‘Slow Down The World’ gives centre stage to his distinctive voice, with a catchy chorus chanting 'slow down the world its moving too fast for me' before the aah-ing backing vocals kick in and prove that home production doesn’t always have to be lo-fi and garage-esque. The tone Cromby has been employing of late has taken a jangly turn from the acoustic guitar focus of ‘Rebel Of The Night’, and it’s these type of progressions which make Cromby so exciting to follow. -Dan Peeke
